A great deal of noise is made in India about implementing the agreement. The left, meaning the Indian left over politicians of the Stalin and Mao era without controlling their violent forces. They are still behind implementing in their human dignity obligations, like banning men pulling cart loads of men and women on difficult streets like that of Kolkota but unashamedly claim to represent Indian underdog. Beyond them, the so called Naxalites go about in remote forest villages in rampage killing the innocents. This situation is not acceptable, especially the left front is not a part of the ruling party. But on their own they offer support to the ruling alliance on the basis of common minimum programme (CMP) covering internal realities of prevailing poverty. The ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) led by Ms. Sonia Gandhi as alliance leader and Dr.Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister is working in the direction.During the last three years of governance, the UPA has achieved in the country a greater awareness of law and order. Election Commission and the Judiciary led by the Supreme Court of India do a good job each in their spare eliminating loop holes.
Now the nuclear issue in particular: some minorities have reservation on nuclear technology on safety considerations.Others like the left front are concerned in protecting the interests of their friendly benefactors like the People´s Republic of China or non proliferation treaty ( NPT) members like Iran. India, although traditionally a non aligned country can not shoulder the responsibilities of friendly countries like Iran since their policy formulation is not done by Indians in India. It is unreasonable for us to interfere in their internal national policies uninvited. It is every country´s right to formulate its policy considering they do not hurt the interests of their neighboring friends.India can expect them to consult where they have doubts. Therefore, Indian Union can not oblige its minority left on its imaginary grievances.
Indian geographic situation is sand witched by two neighbors, who have stockpiled nuclear weapons. They both have hostile histories. Pakistan for that matter is committed to wage a war against India for a thousand years on its irrational claims. The country has been running an undeclared low intensity war against India for decades. At the moment no one is in a position to judge if it is under a democracy or a military dictatorship. But one thing is clear its religious leaders not only are teaching a distorted religion but also providing weapons and training to use them all round.Such an environment is not conducive in creating a sense of security in India itself. Besides, mobilizing financial resources from outside the country, Pakistan has successfully launched a nuclear proliferative campaign with convenient closing of the eyes by the United States. Thus it is the imperative of the United States to peacefully manage Pakistan´s =strategic assets=, an acceptable name for mass destructive nuclear weapons known as WMDs.
A civilian nuclear agreement based on recognition of mutual interests and demonstratively upholding mutual respect should be a solution for restraining the WMDs held in Pakistan. India being proximate to the country, the United States being Pakistan´s closest ally and guaranteer from a remote geographic location have the need to co-operate here. Thus it is very important their nuclear co-operation deal negotiated recently need to be implemented for long term world peace. (end)

A country is as strong as it is economically and militarily strong. India needs nuclear power for its huge population and the US alliance, even if it comes at a cost.
