all over globe as never before.That is investment
funds.But how much of this flood is really productive
how much is waste,how much is invested on realizing
superstitious fundamentalist terrorist goals may need
to be accounted by more transparent methods in
detail by the United Nations and agencies as well as
powers with political will to make the global system of
peace keeping under transformation into global government.
It is long overdue, the overhaul of the United Nations,
what the United States of America´s Orwellian double
speak leaders of Ronald Reagan and George Bush
hues deride as =obscenity=, as they go fondling the
friendly hands of the heads of single vote democracies
promoting terrorism.(In fact the only region that lost
last year capital flow by 12 percent was the one identified
as exporting terror).Reforming the United Nations as the
effective world government and then give it leadership
would be on top of the historic agenda of the incoming
U.S. President,probably Hilary Clinton´s historic
chance.

Here is the gist from United Nations Conference for
Trade and Development,which monitors growth and
investment cash movement globally to report annually.
According to UNCTAD the global foreign direct
investment (FDI) movement,mis called,inflows because
one region´s inflow becomes another region´s out
flow,grew in 2007 to an estimated 1.5 trillion dollars,
surpassing the previous record set in the pre-11/9
terrorism year 2000.UNCTAD experts reviewing
year-end figures, said FDI continued to rise in
all groups of economies, developed countries,
developing economies and former Soviet influenced
South-East Europe and the Commonwealth of
Independent States (CIS).It reflects high-growth
propensities of transnational corporations (TNCs),
meaning capitalism,which is being found inevitable
even by hard core dead Marxists living in corners
like India,where Marxist left ruled West Bengal
Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and his
immediate predecessor and mentor Jyoti Basu
acknowledged earlier last week,that Capital is
unavoidable almost nineteen years after formal
death of communism with the pulling down of
the Berlin Wall.

Experts noted strong economic performance in
many parts of the world. Increased corporate
profits and an abundance of cash boosted the
value of the cross-border mergers and acquisitions
(M&As) that made up a large part of cash movements.
The value of M&As in the second half of the year
was less.A financial and credit crisis had begun.
However,it had not affected the overall volume of
cash movements,the economists said.A slow down
in the United States economy,the depreciation of
the dollar may have helped to maintain high levels
capital flows into the country,in particular from
countries with appreciating currencies,like Europe
and developing Asia.

The sub-prime loan problems have impinged
on the lending capabilities of banks, new capital
injections from various funds, including sovereign
wealth funds,have helped overcome them.This is
the fourth year in continuation, fund flows to
developed countries registered growth,reaching
a trillion dollars.Flows were particularly buoyant
in the United Kingdom,France,and the Netherlands.
The United States was the largest single capital
recipient.The European Union (EU) continued to
be the largest host region, attracting almost 40%
of the total inflows.

The current risks to the world economy may have
implications for inflows to and from developed
countries next year,experts said.High and volatile
commodity prices may cause inflation, and a
tightening of financial market conditions.The
increasing chances of a recession in the
United States and uncertainties of global
repercussions may make investors more cautious.

Inflows to developing countries and economies
in transition (the latter comprising South-East
Europe and CIS) rose by 16% and 41%,
reaching new record levels, economists said.
African inflows remained relatively strong,reaching
36 billion dollars,supported by booming
commodity markets.Mergers and acquisitions
in the extraction and related service industries
remained a significant source of capital, new
inbound M&A deals also took place in the
banking industry. Egypt, Morocco, and South
Africa were the main beneficiaries.

Inflows to Latin America and the Caribbean,
rose by 50% to a record level of 126 billion
dollars. Significant increases were recorded
especially Brazil,Chile and Mexico, where
inflows doubled.This strong growth was
driven by greenfield investments (new
investments and expansion) rather than
merger and acquisitions.This pattern was
the result of strong regional economic
growth and increased corporate profits
on the back of high commodity prices.
Resource-based manufacturing explained
a large part of the gain by Brazil.

South, East and South-East Asia, and
Oceania maintained their upward trend.A
new high of 224 billion dollars,an increase
of 12% over the past year.More than half
of all cash to developing countries came
to these economies.At the subregional
level, there was a further shift towards
South and South-East Asia,although
China and Hong Kong remained the two
largest aggregate recipients in the region.

West Asia,recorded an overall decline in
inflows by 12%.But Turkey and oil-rich Gulf
States continued to get the most even the
declining capital.Geopolitical uncertainty
is to blame for the investor disinterest.

South-East Europe and the CIS, or transition
economies, expanded by 41%, to a new make
a record 98 billion dollars. This was the seventh
year of uninterrupted growth of the region.
Inflows almost doubled to the the Russian
Federation. While resource-rich countries,like
Kazakhstan got more than in 2006, it was
the privatization of state-owned enterprises
that attracted cash.Tightening Russian natural
resource regulations and by disputes over
environmental protection and extraction costs
held inflows in check.

Despite some unfavorable economic
projections for 2008 and potential tightening
of rules for foreign investment in natural
resources and related industries, high
demand for natural resources and, as
a result, the opening up of new potentially
profitable opportunities in the primary sector
as in energy are likely to boost cash flow into
the extractive industries.At the same time,
continuing global external imbalances, sharp
exchange-rate fluctuations, rising interest rates,
and inflationary pressures,as well as high
and volatile commodity prices,pose risks
that may cool global cash movements(end)

life and environment,the system was developed several
thousand years ago.When we apply the system today
we need to take into consideration place,time and the
substance,in this case life itself together.This helps in
understanding life in sum.Its relation to the environment
of the place and time.Some would substitute space to
place.Then we should be clear that place is a minute
part of the space,which covers the universe we live in.
What was valid several thousand years ago is valid
today in today´s circumstances.The old Ashoka Pillars
remain even today made of the best metal that we can
derive from the state of the art technology.The secret
is in the know how of the time.The basis of the know
how as we know today NDA or non destructive assay,
to put it in proven nuclear technological terms.That
should make us aware we are traversing to the old
know how by a different physical parallel route.

I would like to give a more recent example.In Hasana
district of Karnataka we have two great architectural
sites at Beluru and Halhebeedu.These temple sites
are our inheritance of a time almost four hundred years
after the naked 17 metre tall Jina statue of Gomateshwara
was carved on a single stone at nearby Shravana
Belagolha.The story goes the architect, mason,who
was responsible to build there was Jakkanacharya.
He was at site for years as work was on.He was missed
by his wife and son.When the son of the architect,
became a teenager he went in search of his missing
father and reached Halhebeedu,where he saw the master
guiding building work.A stone was being prepared for
use as a sculpture.The teenager immediately noticed,
the stone was unsuitable for the purpose.He told the
master that it was indeed an unsuitable defective stone.
The master was surprised to ask the young man for
reason.The boy took a palm of water to sprinkle on a
particular place on the stone.The stone absorbed the
water at once.Then the master asked to cut open the
granite block selected for the object.They discovered
a small frog inside the block.This was indeed the NDA
technique of the time.The teenager had inherited
this know how from his father very early,so his father
could then identify his growing up son.Today we have
new approaches to the non destructive assay,NDA and
a patented instrument for the purpose.

It is so in every sphere of life.We are reinventing know
how as the musician reinvents music.The past is lost

Without substance we can have no effective sensibility.
The granite is the mass base from which 17 metre stone
sculpture was unveiled!Thus when we approach yoga
we approach a guide book to Buddha hood, the path
of enlightenment,knowing ourselves from within and
outside.As the mass substance, the outside was part
of us,from where we were unveiled as growing life.

		By Kulamarva Balakrishna Vienna,Tuesday,January 8,2008: Iranian Mehr News reports on the planned visit of a group of Columbia University Professors,without approval of their University President Lee Bollinger to Iran, ostensibly to apologize to Iranian President Muhammed Ahmadinejad,who was unjustly treated by Bollinger when he visited the campus in September taking the opportunity of his visit to the United Nations.Winfield Myers of the Campus Watch,confirming the visit feels humliated at the thought.He says =it would be another shameful chapter in the history of middle eastern studies at the Columbia University. Winfield Myers thinks after the nasty behavior to his guest in consideration to the political compulsions of President George Bush, does Lee Bollinger or any one in his behalf apologize to a supposed =enemy= President? Not done.=It is a further evidence of intellectual and moral collapse= says Myers.The Iranian Mehr News does not identify the visiting professors. Text of the report: New York:An academic delegation of Columbian University professors and deans of faculties plan to visit Iran to officially apologize to Iranian President Muhamud Ahmadinejad. The delegation plans to express regret for insulting remarks Columbia University President Lee Bollinger directed Muhamud Ahmadinejad on September 24 the Mehr News Agency Correspondent in New York reported.Since the incident, the deans and professors from faculties of history,anthropology,and Islamic studies have criticized Bollinger´s behavior toward Ahmadinejad.A member of the delegation,who requested not to be identified, said the main goal of the visit is to meet the Iranian president and =officially apologize= to him. life,is a current.It has infinite roles as the singular power
ruling the body.As moving mind the current works at a
level and yoga involves itself directing the mind,focusing
it on target culminating in the disappearance of the target
itself.The system is Hindu system.There were Buddhist,
Jaina,Charvaka,Svabhava and other philosophical
schools philosophically interpreting life at the time,
when the Hindu system was elaborated by Patanjali.
Although,he explained the final target of the yoga as
=kaivalya=,which is variously described as =moksha=,
nothingness or emptiness, under zero status,it remained
power with out any assignment.At that time body has no
role whatever,thus it remains dissolved.It is a long way.
A yogi is set on that way.Yoga system is the road map.

It explains first the two variations of the end game.Samadhi
is common for both.First one is subjective in that mind
is targeted and it reflects the target.It is called =savikalpa
samadhi= and the targetless achievement leading to
kaivalya is called =nirvikalpa samadhi=.In Dravidian
Kannada language,therefore yoga is known as the
road of attaining nothingness =shunya sampadaneya
marga=.After providing the definition of yoga, Patanjali
presents the nature of mind before explaining the two
final stages.

Then he sets himself describing eight phases of the
march,known as angas,just as among the sufis they
are known as Dhiqr,I say this because of the similarity
in goal and marching methods as well as the debate
is on who borrowed from who.Some say Sufism is earlier.
Others say yoga is earlier sufis borrowed methodologies
of yoga.Free human spirit,universal love and peace
being the goal common to both.It is because of this
yogis and sufis know no discrimination based on religion,
race,sex etc.That is why we find in India shrines of yogis
or sufis followed by Hindus,Muslims and others.

The examples can be seen in Shirdi,Ajmer,and latest
Arunachalam of Ramana Maharshi.An eye witness
account of Ramana Maharshi has been written by
novelist Somerset Maugham in his Writer´s Notebook.
Ramana Maharshi,when he was a teenage boy
ran away from home with stolen cash to pay his
railway fare.Once he landed in Arunachalam,the
left over cash he sent back.He began to recite a
ten verse poem called =Dakshinamurthi stotra=,
which explains actually the eight facets of the pure
spirit,walking around the hill.It was in the 20th century,
something like two thousand and two hundred odd
years after Patanjali.We have to keep in mind the
time gap.Shirdi Sai Baba was in the 19th Century.
Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti of Arabic and Persian
origin lived almost a thousand years ago at Ajmer,
on the fringes of Thar desert,close to Pushkar lake,
in Rajasthan.

Now we have in India pure secular cash crazy
advertising yogis.We have also thousands and
thousands of established traditional Hindu
monasteries,where mostly uneducated power
hungry men sit in thrones made of silver or gold.
They let themselves to be carried by paid men on
on shoulders on huge cradles,called dholas.
They do not hesitate to use force,preach hatred,
and live as vulgar exhibitionists.They are not
to be emulated since they serve as social
disruption being superstitious and self serving
obscurantists.

There are millions of beggars roaming as hippie
sadhus.More than fifty years ago,Jawahar Lal Nehru´s
cabinet colleague Gulzari Lal Nanda, who was a
bachelor, organized them under Bharat Sadhu Samaj,
society of Indian sadhus to keep them from harms way.
That is because being idle, the men become restless
and disruptive.Since that society is no more
representative,men and women calling themselves
yogis or their cheaper version as sadhus remain
active as outlaws under an evolving tolerant
democratic ruling system.(end)

opportunity to read an opinion piece by Jonathan
Power in the arab news supposed to be on Benazir
Bhutto´s sad end.In th first part of the article Mr.Power
finds fault with Benazir Bhutto.I have expressed similar
views myself in all my writings ever since Bhutto took
the opportunity to rehabilitate herself in Pakistan´s
difficult times as if it is good if the house burns there
is no need for a match stick to light a cigarette even the
cheap char minar type.Then her widower Asif Zardari´s
attitude is much more cynical in that he would not hesitate
to set fire to the neighbor´s house so he can lit his char
minar there.

In the first breath Benazir and Zardari did not hide their
lack of confidence in the Pakistani government.In the
next, without offering any co-operation to the uniformed
regime,in fact rudely brushing it aside, Benazir held
her darbar rallies on her own responsibility.She suffered
by paying through life.Now her husband Zardari blames
the government for not providing protection even hinting
that the government itself was behind the deadly attack
on his wife!He wants the United Nations hold investigations
into the killing under the chaotic circumstances created by
themselves.May be later he would ask the world body
arrange transfer of power to his democratically willed
teenage son as ruler in Pakistan.Very good logic indeed.
Or is he a nut case?It never occurs to him take out his
and his wife´s past record to place on table.On this score
I do not blame Mr.Jonathan Power. He is on the right track.

Then by sheer out of context, he bashes the bambu on
India´s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue
of Kashmir.Fortunately,he did not accuse India of
meddling in the neighboring country´s internal turmoil.
What I do not understand is why the colonialists and
single vote democrat Islamists stand shoulder to
shoulder together.How and what would they gain if
Pakistan´s genocide gets an additional human canon
fodder from Indian side of Kashmir? In fact,Pakistan is
illegitimate sick baby of the colonialists. With the rude
shock of crude oil price shock Islamists adopted the
sick baby to lead their own rival United Nations of
Organization of Islamic Conference, Islamic World Bank,
Islamist Human Rights whatever this all may mean after
being the parties of United Nations Charter for over 25
long years!Even here colonialists in their neo-colonialist
incarnation,supported the terror mongers in their craze
for strategic nuclear assets!

Come new century, the Islamo-fascists stood exposed
in front of their own illegitimate parents,thanks to the
events of 11/9/001.Even at this late hour,scribes like
Jonathan Power find India,a victim of a low intensity
war unleashed by the very Islamo fascists, a convenient
whipping boy ,without any pretext whatever.Are you a

yoga is but mind science
not medicine

Vienna,Monday,January 7,2008:Yesterday,commencing
the yoga shastra elaboration,I said that reality is finite.
In other words it is within our reach.The aim of the yoga
system is to realize this reality when we are with this very
body living.The system is not a healing method,nor a
sport or circus.The so called yoga gurus are not to be
trusted.Why?While ending the classic study of Vedic
literature with upanishads, the students pray =tamaso
ma jyotir gamaya= in the darkness,ignorance I am bring
me to the light,enlightenment.=asato ma sad gamaya=
from my status of the unreal get me in the realms of reality,
and finally =mrityor mam amritam gamaya=make me a
mere mortal into immortal.That is help me to get into
communion with nature,which is immortal.The goal of
yoga is to reach immortality.That is why poet Kalidasa
said:=yogena ante tanutyajam=,by the means of yoga
at the end used to giving up the body.Because the body
dissolves into the matter from where it came and the
consciousness gets united with natural universal
consciousness which survives uniformly with immovable
mass like rocks and the movable like birds,animals and
men.Thus life that is consciousness has no death.While
living we learn to tune ourselves with nature enable us to
know more clearly and comprehensively.The single example
before us was the Buddha,the enlightened one.

The yoga enables us to radiate energy into the entire
solar system´s clearly defined seven territories and receive
radiation in return.By sound of =aum= as in the Muezzin´s
call it moves in the air/space.In silence the radiation
works as the newly found and being used web site of the
information technology.Who would have believed some
fifty years ago we could communicate world wide through
the web net?It was there before but discovered recently.
Similarly,in the past during Buddha´s time also there were
a minority of people,who communicated through the nature.
The systemic knowledge was the means.It is only foolishness
to say that =yoga= is a form of medicine.It is not.It is much
more than that.It is like say Vipassana of Teravada Buddhism.
When we are being one with nature, we experience universal
love and happiness.Indeed the greatest goal is to enjoy
this reality.

Apart from what I have said above,there is no other goal set
for yoga.In the entire yoga sutras of sage patanjali there
is no repeat no mention of medicine or magic.Even God is
mentioned once,not as supernatural power but unconcerned
pure consciousness of the nature.The sutra says =klesha,
karma, vipakadibhih aparamristhah purusha visheshah
ishwarah= that is the consciousness is not subject to
bribing or manipulation. When we practice yoga and get
tuned to nature we are one with this consciousness.
That is said in the third sutra,= tada, drishtuh svarupe
avasthanam=then,when we are tuned by yoga,the viewer´s
original state,we remain.So that is yoga is no healing magic.
It is but mind science, enabling us enjoy the whole some

is among the suspects of his wife´s murder.BB or Benazir
Bhutto was no saint.She was not back in Pakistan to save
the sinking ship.She found it opportune to claim for the
third time the post of Prime Minister without showing
she had indeed amended herself. Her double tongue could
be heard beyond the seas.The sad part of Pakistan is
its political leaders remain dishonest to both religion and
democracy.

Even the military leader in civilian clothes now is under
compulsion. He is a =true partner= of the United States
of America and U.K. in fighting =terrorism=.But how
come his ambassador in Geneva does not accept the
singular role of the United Nations Universal Declaration
of Human Rights?For all we know there is one standard
for Human Rights that is the one declared by the world
in 1948 under the United Nations auspices. Then the
Organisation of Islamic Conference developed its own
Wahabi Human Rights.It made a Cairo Declaration of
extremism. Compared to that declaration, the declaration
of Arab Human Rights is liberal in that it at least accepts
the rights of Christians even though it has reservation
on =zionists=.Strange among Muslims themselves there
is no uniform opinion. How can any one apply gawd´s
laws without gawd´s lawyer and or any direct briefing
by gawd.Q´uran itself is dictated by Farista/Angel to
Mohammed on that basis he became Prophet.Now there
is no Prophet,no Farista/Angel but the advocacy of
gawd is left mini mullah mobs of all hues.A disgrace
of the worst kind with which to hoodwink the world.
No way.

Pakistan deserves a stable democracy.This is in the
interest of Pakistani armed forces and the public.What
we see today is Pakistani Armed Forces engaged
in a war against its own people misled by the wahabi
mullah mob controlled and directed by the holy sands
where there exists no democracy or rule of law of any
kind. The holy sands has record of being refuge to
Idi Amin. Is that not enough?

As for the world,pre-requisite for Pakistani stability is
taming of the holy sands with democratic rights for all
citizens including women.The women should be able
to show their faces.By keeping women´s faces covered
the regime there makes hidden route for hidden men
with arms.Besides,the Islam banking system which is
said to jump up by 20 per cent annually under the
rival Islamic United Nations called Organization of
Islamic Conference has no transparent accountability
for non Islamic auditors. Do we need a separate route
for financing global terrorism?

How and who directed attack against Arabic/Persian
sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti at Ajmer?
Globally there are more than several thousand sufi
orders? How many are left in holy sands kingdom?
Lip service does not help.Performance should be
subjected to auditing. Think Tank of the Carnegie
Endoment published today a Scene in its Foreign
Policy Magazine of a =world with out Islam=.The
concerned should take the calculations seriously
before it is late.

Asif Ali Zardari has nothing to lose.It looks as if
even he does not care for his son even though his
own age and his own health are not ideal, he is
aspiring to jump from 10 per cen to 100 per cent.
