Vienna,Wednesday,January 9,2008: I have in
front of me an opinion piece by Bengali intellectual
Ashok Mitra appearing in today´s The Telegraph,
the successor daily of Anand Bazar Patrika´s The
Hindustan Standard.Anand Bazar is a great regional
daily.Similarly,Ashok Mitra is rated as Bengal´s
key intellectual.This time he wrote about Narendra or
Naradhama if you like to call the Hitlerite that way,
Modi´s Gujarat.His opinion is based on his
wrong facts and facts he did not take into account.

His wrong facts includes that L.K.Advani is a Gujarati
successor to Sardar Patel.I know Lal Kishan Advani
came from Karachi to Bombay to settle down in
Chembur.That was his constituency when he was
elected to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.In his
neo-Avatar as a walk man following the foot steps of
Chandra Shekhar,but not so peacefully,he became
a candidate in langoti monkey infested Gujarat.

Besides Mr.Ashok Mitra missed information as input
that the large scale migration of Gujarati upper middle
class,businessmen who supplied leadership to the
state, abroad.When not abroad, to other states within
India, like Maharashtra,Karnataka etc.Old solid Gujarati
business houses like Kasturi Lalbhai,Sarabhais,
Mafatlals and others either declined or strengthened
their bases outside Gujarat making room for small time
Thatcherite =duka=wala Marwaris from Rajasthan and
Madhya Pradesh.These mostly money lending class
of the Afghani/Arab types having lost their business to
rapidly expanding banking sector at the initiative of
Indira Gandhi,became manufacturers of small and
medium order.These make the support base for Modi,
who advertises himself in the garb of garba dancer
Krishna with gopies.

A large number of educated Gujaratis have left
Gujarat following Morarji Desai´s =total revolution=
in search of new mother lands.They maintain emotional
attachment to Gujarat but remain outside India.They
send cash.Some groups do work in Gujarat to support
the state´s development under non-government banners.
This has led to the spread of sham Vaishnavism and
of naked Jainism overseas as well.The visible
Vaishnavism can be seen in the spread of the cult of
Swami Narayan and its Akshara Dhama temples.
The London temple is one example which is supporting
many jobless inferior quality unemplyed doctors who
went to U.K.hoping to make good.They are in thousands.

Mr.Ashok Mitra says Naradhama Modi´s vote share
has increased even though seats he got declined.
It is natural by putting fear into the hearts of dissenting
voters, he made sure they do not turn out to vote.When
the voter potential, particularly I may point out this kind
of strong arm negative voter mobilization was first
indulged in Bombay by Peshwa avatar S.G.Barve,
former Finance Minister of Maharashtra and former
MP Tara Sapre´s brother,who contested in North Bombay
constituency against V.K.Krishna Menon.As I was
monitoring election,I saw his men burning some slum
huts in Dharavi,Sion Koliwada and Chembur he
managed to win. But the poor fellow, could not take his
seat in the Parliament.He died on his flight Delhi to
take his seat in Parliament.In the ensuing by-
election his sister Tara Sapre won both on votes of fear
and votes of sympathy.It was from his experience of
using fear as vote gatherer my friend Bal Thackeray
became the king of Bombay.

Thus,a demographical change and surge of money lender
class into Thatcherite business class in Gujarat presented
Naradhama Modi a chance to rule Gujarat as =Vegetarian
Lion=.There is no room to complain against the Congress
because, Congressmen like Morarji had become total
revolutionaries overnight out of sheer frustration.They were all
part of a Syndicate, what they call in Marathi =shendiwalas=.
If Morarji by his behavior achieved his goal of occupying
the Prime Minister´s chair for a few months,other = shendis=
like Nijalingappa,S.K.Patil, Atulya Ghosh etc. died in ignominy
as zeros.Yes, Sanjeeva Reddy had a fluke of chance.But
they proved none of them were men of integrity.It was their
lack of integrity that compelled Indira Gandhi to take the help
of her over ambitious younger son.In any case,it is a pity
India´s celebrated and syndicated intellectuals like Ashok
Mitra do not recognize that Indira Gandhi herself withdrew
national emergency,got defeated in the elections.But the
Indira came back with popular votes to strengthen India with
the integration of Sikkim and liberating Bangla Desh.She
may have been killed by Sikh body guards but behind
the killers were the same foreign powers who are engaged
now in the going on genocide inside Pakistan, the
