Bhat. I think our Hindu Ghanta Jagruti people try
to educate our common men to respect women saying
=yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devatah=.
That apart men should show civil courage to
protect our women.But what can we expect
when two out of ten female pregnancies are
aborted only later to go in search of social
prostitutes to their offspring as wives?But that is uncle
Thackeray and Nephew Thackeray´s Maharashtra
lead India!.

There are a lot of responses in the TOI website,
ranging from 'punishing' the rapists,
dismembering them a la the sand dune kingdoms.
What we fail to see is that in India, there are
hardly any systems to deal with these situations.
Why did no one try to help her during her screams?
Why did they have to just call the police. Maybe
someone could have saved her during or after the
first assault, rather than the police coming in later!
In Mumbai, even if a rape happens in a train
compartment, no one tries to help for fear of being
thrown out of the compartment. Are we a nation
of eunuchs?

Woman gangraped on Saswad Road

:= In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old married woman was gangraped by seven people, including two autorickshaw drivers, on Monday night at an under- construction site on Saswad road. The local residents, after hearing her screams, informed the police who managed to arrest the culprits. The victim, who hails from Saswad, told the police that she was waiting at an ST bus stop on Saswad road on Monday night when a rickshaw with two passengers approached her and asked where she was heading. When she informed them that she was going to Saswad, the rickshaw driver told her that they too were going in the same direction and told her to board the rickshaw. However, instead of taking her to Saswad, the rickshaw driver drove towards an under construction site at Behade towers on Saswad road. Soon, four more men came to the place in another auto-rickshaw. The seven accused then took turns to rape her. When the local residents heard the woman's screams, they contacted the Gadital police chowky who rushed to the spot and managed to arrest Ajay Shivaji Mitkare (proud Maharashtrian! of Raj Thackeray gang) (21) and Sadashiv Dynaneshwar Jadhav (his friend) (24), both rickshaw drivers and residents of Mahatma Phule Vasahat in Hadapsar. Later, two other accused — Balu alias Rajesh Prabhakar Kamble (23) and Santosh Sadashiv Lohikare (22), both residents of the same location, were picked up by the police (none of them Uttara Bharatiyas Is noteworthy) The remaining three suspects — Chetan Shelar, Ramesh Bhosale and one Amol (a minor) — were rounded up late in the evening. The victim, a mother of two, has been deserted by her husband (whio may be Maharashtrian pimp) On Monday, she had gone to Chakan with her aunt to see her nephew. As she had some work in Pune, she told her aunt to go ahead and made her board a bus from the Katraj bus stop. all (ilbred) people in their early 20s. Something is terribly

wrong with these perverts. They need to be beaten up and

given rigorous punishment they won't forget for the rest of

their damned lives. India (including Chatrapati Shivaji´s

Maharashtra) is not at all a safe place for women these

days ( Thackerays rule). Are we going back in time or

what?! We keep talking about bad influences of the West

( not lovers day-rapers days are Maharashtrian pride

days) but inspite of being a woman I have never had any

bad experiences during my 4 years in the US . I leave work

at midnight sometimes or spend odd hours at an airport but

never have to worry about safety.And what is to become of

the poor woman who has been deserted by her husband?

He needs to be thrown in jail too along with the offenders.
