Reporter/Market Writer
Reports to: News Editors, Bureau Chiefs,
Senior Editors, Channel Editors or
Executive Editors
This position requires a minimum of
two years professional writing and reporting
experience or the equivalent. A college
degree is preferred.Reporters are
responsible for covering a beat/industry
/industries as assigned. Reporters are
responsible for generating 5 stories a
week at an acceptable level of quality.
Reporters should have a developing
understanding of how companies work,
how to read a balance sheet and
company report, macroeconomics and
the stock market. Ability to meet
tight deadlines a must.
